Pantex Federal Credit Union was established in January of 1940. Individuals within a definable field of interest or common bond can join PFCU and use our financial products and services. We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by our members and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Each member owns one equal share of Pantex Federal Credit Union, regardless of the amount of money on deposit. The Member-Owners elect the Board of Directors at an annual meeting. The Board of Directors meets monthly to direct the operation of the credit union. Credit Union earnings are returned to the member in the form of higher dividends and lower loan rates and significantly reduced or even free services.
Identification Prodecures: In accordance with Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001, 31 U.S.C. 5318(I), persons seeking to open an account must comply with the credit union's identity verification procedures. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
